Brita Nordencreutz was a Swedish artist born in Västerås. She studied at the Carl Wilhelm's art school in Stockholm, at André Lhote's school of painting in Paris and at Hoffman's painting school in Munich. Nordencreutz painted colourist landscapes and figurative motifs – this is a particularly striking work.
